TownSquare raised $16.25 million to bring institutional yield to USD1 on World Liberty Financial and RWAs

TownSquare, a crosschain yield infrastructure that focuses on institutional curated yield and onchain brokerage, has raised $16.25 million in total funding to bring institutional yield with USD1 & RWAs to retail.

The round includes participation from World Liberty Financial, Auros Ventures, OKX Ventures, Amber Group, Animoca Brands, Arcane Group, Animoca Ventures, SHV and notable angels from Monad, a16z, Aptos, Turtle, Aspecta, WorldClaw, Stakestone etc.

We started completed an early round in 2024, followed by another round that started in late 2025 and completed in March 2026.

We introduced USD1 stablecoin to the Monad L1 blockchain upon Monad mainnet launch and also have a $100m pipeline of USD1 liquidity committed from liquidity providers to bootstrap institutional curated yield.

The team comes from a background of market maker and engineers, including from Tokenmania (an $800m AUM market maker from 2019-2022), Coinbase, Meta, and Accenture.

With USD1 seeing increasing adoption on chains such as Solana, BNBChain, Monad and Ethereum and protocols including Aster, Pancakeswap and WorldClaw. TownSquare will fill in the next critical piece for stablecoin adoption - onchain curated yields.

The TownSquare infrastructure is powered by crosschain brokerage features and institutional curated vaults. And we are already working with institutionally backed curator teams such as Native on the trading strategy side. The yields will come from strategies on blockchains including Monad, Ethereum and BNBChain. Aside from USD1, we are also onboarding RWAs such as onchain gold-backed assets and yield strategies behind them to these L1 blockchains.

We have maintained active conversations with custody and banking partners to facilitate onboarding of USD1. Other assets in our pipeline includes tokenized gold asset - we are actively engaged in onboarding discussion with the top issuer of reserve-backed gold token at the moment.
